Happy Slaves of Slovenia: Apathy and Victory of the War Lord

Janez Ivan Janša is our own Slovenian War Lord or Darth Vader. It seems the political games would be nothing without him. Foreign media concludes that Janša and his SDS party won specifically because of his anti-immigrant policy, though that is not entirely the case.

Janša was a key public figure in the disintegration of Yugoslavia and the creation of Slovenian independence. But presumed heroes of Slovenia’s independence may very well be the main war profiteers. In Yugoslavia, so they claimed, we depended on Belgrade, but now we irrefutably depend on the commands from Brussels. This fact neatly sums up our idea of independence.

There is a popular joke in Slovenia that the 3rd World War can never start here because our 2nd World War never actually ended. There is more than a grain of truth in this. And not only for Slovenia, that is the reality for the most of Europe. Tell me again when and how were the Nazi spoils of war were returned to the people? Never.

And more importantly, Europe’s colonial powers never stopped with their imperialist and racist looting around the Globe. Europe, let’s be fair, enjoys the obscenity of America’s foreign politics because it offers shelter to European interests that can pretend to be somewhat forced to cooperate in the endless wars for natural resources and geopolitical interests.

Janša has always been openly supporting Slovenians who collaborated with the Nazis. It has been his favorite hobby for decades, long before the migrant crisis. So no, Janša did not win mainly because of the migrant crisis. He won because the Centre and Left in Slovenia is just another word for Clinton and Obama-like politics full of smiles, vanity, and empty promises. That is why Janša won. Quite frankly it is terrifying. It means that despite Slovenia being the land of partisan heroes and countless deaths for the victory over the 3rd Reich, this historical victory has been trivialized and taken for granted which was the biggest mistake made by the Left that shamelessly bonded with Western Liberal interests.

 As Slovenian intellectual Tomaž Mastank noted, it was the Liberals that blocked the political annihilation of Nazi-fascist. It is after all the liberal economy that rules over the World and the price people pay for that was never even questioned.

The crucial reason why Janša won is also the mainstream media with the demonization of Syria and Russia and everyone that does not drink Coca-Cola as their holy water. Mainstream media also in Slovenia faithfully fulfills its duty to distract the masses so almost half of the voters did not show up for the parliamentary elections. They are numbed and dumbed with the noise of consumerism. Migrants? That is an entirely different chapter, used as a part of elections propaganda; but just on the surface. Because the main reason for the mass migration is the endless imperialist looting and the trafficking with people and arms, therefore the unmentionable. To be continued …
